Dancer
Steve Flores says, "I hear the beat first and lyrics second. My body loves to move!" Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Steve is half Puerto Rican and half Ecuadorian. He was a recipient of the Posse Scholarship and was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to Denison University in Granville, Ohio, from which he graduated with a bachelor of arts in economics and religion. |
While at Denison University, he became very active with developing and expanding the Latino community. He was elected president of La Fuerza Latina for two consecutive terms, brought the first Latino fraternity onto campus—Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc— and was the recipient of one of the school's most prestigious awards, The Distinguished Leadership Award.
Steve has been widely trained in dance styles, including gumboot, African jazz, contemporary and African contemporary, hip hop, salsa, merengue and bachata. Steve struggled with the dichotomy between passion versus price and chose to respectfully decline a position in corporate America in order to pursue happiness as a professional dancer in Los Angeles.
