Dancer
Skye Woods was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is twenty-five years young. Performing has always been in her blood. She comes from a family of dancers and musicians, not all of whom have reached their fullest potential. But this has only motivated her to take her career to a higher level. Her grandmother was a ballerina and one of the first African Americans to dance on television in Indiana.
She began to take dance seriously while attending Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis. In 2004 she graduated, then enrolled in Ivy Tech Community College. While attending college, she took a hiatus from dancing, which lasted until two years ago, when she began dancing on the competitive adult jazz dance team at Volume Dance studio in Carmel, Indiana. |
After performing in a hip hopera called Who's ya Daddy? with performers from Los Angeles, she knew it was time to make her way to California to pursue the arts. Skye has been living in Los Angeles for a little over a year and is definitely on her way to living her life and sharing the gifts God has given her, like she has always wanted to do. "We on our way!" she says with enthusiasm. |
